About Shahnaz

Shahnaz qualified as a barrister in 1990. After practising for 4 years as a barrister, she qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and specialises in representing people charged with serious criminal offences. Throughout her experience, Shahnaz has come to realise that a client’s case depends upon the kind of representation they receive at the start of their case at the police station and how well it is prepared.

Shahnaz specialises in representing people at the police station and has 27 years of experience of attending and representing clients arrested for the most serious offences at the police station.

Shahnaz has a wealth of experience of representing clients charged with serious offences such as fraud, murder, kidnapping, serious sexual offences, robbery and major drug importations.

Every case is important to her and she prides herself on representing her clients from the start to the conclusion of their case, thereby enabling them to benefit from having continuity in the preparation and representation of their case.

Shahnaz also has expertise in representing private clients who do not want to go through the whole process of being charged by the police in the first place. This means making representations to the police at an early stage and giving them all the information so they investigate the defence case at an early stage and speak to all the witnesses, particularly those that may assist her client’s case.
